Why is my avatar a man?

Just wondering if I can switch my little avatar person to either a real picture or at least a female. I don't like looking like a man. (Not that there's anything WRONG with that.) Just a personal preference. Ideas, anyone?

Mary click on the highlighted link to Gravatar (in the Add comment area) and you can jump out to the site where you will set up an account (email / password) and then upload a picture of your choosing as your "Gravatar" (avatar) ... not ANY site that uses gravatars (other blogs, as well as ours, will use this gravatar associated with your email addy)
