Cliffhanger

I knew a guy
good looking and happy
smiling and vibrant

Carried him upside down
to make him laugh

He had a way
to make you feel like something
or nothing at all

His smile
His company, His remarks
His Vantage smokes

We sought them all

The way he combed his hair
The way he moved
Who he was with
What he was doing

We sought all of him

Cliches met with curiosity, never quenched
Who  was this man inside
did any really know

One would imagine the world
not stopping to take notice
at this,
his final punctuation

it does

In loving memory of my friend,  J. Paul

Well done, Marty.

Rest in Peace, Paul, my toy!

Hey Marty, I sent this to my best friend Nancy, who remembers Paul well. Her response:

"Oh my God, Mary, this is beautiful. Please tell Marty when you talk to him that I thought it was awesome.
Paul would have LOVED it, and been so touched to be remembered this way,"

Mary,
Wow, I remember Nancy, your friend, too. Tell her thank you, that's so great ... are you guys close to each other (geographically?) how is she? Where did she go to school, Geneseo or ?
That's so great that you shared the little blurb of a poem ... I'm hoping to get more of my far out, esoteric and erotic stuff up online soon. I'm such a hack, if they are all good we should compile and bind them (you can be my editor) and we can retire on the riches like some Bukowski rip-off (i'll drink a lot more and live on the street a bit, so I can get in character)
